What is the Promotion about?

This promotion is for TelBru’s existing Residential Customers who wish to upgrade their broadband plans.


What is this promotion inclusive of?

Existing broadband customers – Upgrade to higher broadband plan get and 50% off your next month rental on BROADBAND only.


When is this promotion held?

This promotion runs from 5th October 2017 until 31st October 2017.


Who is eligible for this promotion?

This promotion is open to TelBru’s existing Residential customers who wish to upgrade their broadband to a higher plan.


What happens if the customer wants to upgrade, but the service have been Temporarily Out of Service (TOS)/PD?

Their service must be active within the promotional period.


What happen when the customer upgrade during the early period of the promotion and being TOS in the middle of the promotion?

We strongly suggest our customers to ensure that they make on time and full payments to avoid missing out from any promotions, thus, avoiding being charged with 1% admin fee.


How can I upgrade my broadband plan?

You may simply upgrade to a higher broadband plan via the My TelBru application or online, if you are on our Fiber infrastructure. You are able to choose your desired plan upgrade at the comfort of your home. The upgrade request will be processed within 24 hours.

Otherwise, you may simply visit your nearest TelBru branch. However, please do take note that a higher plan will have a different monthly rental than your current plan.


I’m on 10Mbps monthly charge $25 and I wish to upgrade to $39. Why can’t I upgrade it via MyTelbru app?

Unfortunately, the function is not yet available for the upgrade from 10Mbps $25 to 10Mbps $39 through My TelBru. However, you may visit any of our TelBru branches to upgrade your broadband plans.


Is copper subscriber eligible for the upgrade promotion?

Yes, both FTTH and copper subscribers are eligible for this promotion. However, the desired bandwidth for copper subscribers is subject to cable quality/technical availability as TelBru can only provide best-effort basis. But you will be able to enjoy the allocated given quota of the higher bandwidth.


How much will it cost to upgrade the broadband plan?

There are no charges to upgrade your broadband plan. However, please do take note that a higher plan will have a different monthly rental than your current plan.


How long will I have to wait once I’ve upgraded my broadband plan?

Upon successful upgrade, you will be upgraded to your chosen broadband plan after one working day over the counter and within 24 hours when you upgrade with the MyTelBru App.


I am an existing broadband customer. What happens if I upgrade my plan now?

Upon successful upgrade, you will be upgraded to your chosen broadband plan after one working day over the counter and within 24 hours when you upgrade with my TelBru App.


When will I get the 50% off from my rental?

Your 50% off on broadband rental will be reflected on your next bill.


I’m an existing customer and I’ve just used the online upgrade to upgrade my broadband plan. I’d like to upgrade my broadband plan again to a higher bandwidth – can I do it using the online upgrade feature again?

Yes, you can. However, upgrading your broadband plan is limited to once a day only – this goes for both over the counter and on MyTelBru. Therefore, you’ll need to wait for the next day to conduct the online upgrade again as the online upgrade can only be done once a day.


Can I upgrade my broadband plan more than once and be entitled to the 50% off broadband plan?

Yes, you may upgrade your broadband plan more than once.

However, your 50% off broadband is only entitled for your first time upgrade. Any reoccurring broadband upgrade after that will not be entitled for the 50% promotion.


Am I eligible for the 50% off broadband upgrade if I had just sign up for the Telephone + Broadband services during this promotional period and wish to upgrade my broadband plan?

Unfortunately no, customers that newly sign up to our telephone + broadband services during this promotional period are not eligible for the broadband upgrade.

Any upgrades made within the same promotional month by the same customer will not be entitled. They will be charged on the upgraded broadband rental as per usual.


Why are Business customers not eligible for this promotion?

Unfortunately, this promotion is only for Residential Broadband Customers. However, we will take note of your feedback.

I am an existing TelBru telephony customer; do I have to pay for the fixed line installation fee and the advanced rental too?

No, as you are already an existing telephony customer. Therefore, you only need to pay for 50% of the broadband activation fee and advance rental of your chosen plan.


It says payment for a Fixed Line Deposit Worth BND 50, but I’m an existing telephony customer. Do I still need to pay for the deposit?

No, as you are already an existing telephony customer.

(i) Only the following TelBru Residential Customers are applicable for the Promotion (‘Eligible Customers’):
• Customers who have no subscription to TelBru Voice or Broadband Plan(s)
• Customers who have an existing Voice plan without broadband
(ii) Eligible Customers can subscribe for Voice & Broadband plans at any TelBru branches nearest to them.
(iii) Eligible Customers who have an existing Voice plan without broadband who successfully subscribe for a Broadband plan during the Promo Period shall enjoy 50% off Broadband Rental for the first month of their new broadband plan.
(iv) This promotion is not valid to new customers subscribing to Voice-only plan.
(v) Ten (10) Apple TVs as lucky draw prize to be given away to new customers who successfully sign up to either the “Voice + Broadband Plan” or “Broadband Plan” for customers who already is subscribing to the Voice only plan.
(vi) Winners will be chosen randomly from the list of customers who successfully sign up during the Promo Period.
(vii) Prize presentation will be done within the second week of November 2017.
(B) Upgrade Promotion
Promotion Details: 50% off first month rental of new upgraded plan for existing customers who upgrades their existing broadband plan.
(i) The Promotion is applicable for TelBru Residential Customers (‘Eligible Customers’) with an existing broadband plan.
(ii) Eligible Customers can upgrade at any TelBru branches nearest to them or via TelBru website www.telbru.com.bn and TelBru mobile application (‘My TelBru’) and any official TelBru roadshow happening in Brunei.
(iii) This promotion is valid for current and active subscribers within the promotional period only.
(iv) Upon upgrading the broadband plan, customers must to maintain their subscription for a minimum of three (3) months prior to any change of plan.
(v) Copper customers are subject to cable quality/technical availability.
• Customers who sign up during the Promo Period will be entitled to sign up waiver only, the same customer shall not receive another 50% waiver to their following upgraded plan. Any additional upgrades done within the same promotional month, customers will have to pay as per usual as indicated in customers Bill.
• TelBru staff and businesses are not eligible to participate in this campaign.
• TelBru reserves the right to deem the offer void if the Customer do not comply with the terms and conditions specified for this campaign including the TelBru’s General Terms and Conditions for services as well as such other specific terms and conditions as may be agreed and accepted by the Customer. Such rights conferred on TelBru under the terms and conditions shall be additional to the rights conferred on TelBru under the TelBru’s General Terms and Conditions for services and any other terms and conditions agreed and accepted by the Customer.
• All details and particulars registered by the Customer must be true, accurate and complete.
• TelBru shall not be liable for any delay, failure or omission in carrying out this campaign.
• TelBru shall not be liable for any claims, losses and damages sustained by the Customer.
• TelBru reserves the right at any time in its absolute, sole discretion, notwithstanding anything in these terms and conditions to cancel or make amendment(s) to this offer.
